Maryland’s six casinos generated $165,388,039 in gaming revenue during September, marking a 15.1 per cent rise compared to September 2020 when casinos were restricted to 50 per cent capacity because of the pandemic.
MGM National Harbor led the way with GGR of $69.5m, followed by Live! Casino & Hotel with $56.5m, Horseshoe Casino with $17.5m and Ocean Downs Casino with $9m.
The three leading casinos in terms of size and revenue have also been approved by The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission for sports betting. They will now see their applications presented to the Sports Wagering Application Review Commission for the green light to launch as soon as October 14.
